this spring blows

and blows, and blows and blows some more and then rains and then blows again. i can't believe the weather we are getting around here. it seemed to culminate on saturday with 1 1/2 inches of rain, and not just rain but sheets and sheets of giant raindrops. apparently we were getting a storm up from the gulf, as in the gulf of mexico a really far away place from bozeman. we never get storms from the gulf, you could see it too, it was different, not like any other storm we've had since i can remember. needless to say, we didn't make it out saturday but yesterday turned out nicely. good timing since we had company coming over for a bbq. had a great evening with friends, the kids did wonderful and the food and bevies were terrific.

and my wonderful husband has been busy working this weekend on a sandbox for the kids much to his dismay. the sandbox was my request. there are concerns from certain people in this family that there will be much sand to be had in the house with the addition of a sandbox outside. i agree but the kids will be so excited to play in it while the little grains of sand make their way into every crack and crevices of their tiny bodies only to be deposited into the carpet as they make their way back inside. i still think the fun to be had will far outweigh a little extra sand to vacuum, assuming i vacuum much anyway. at least i didn't push for the heart shaped sand box requested by fiona, if only she knew we could get pink sand as well.

happy mothers day all you hot mamma's out there! we went to the park this morning and for a walk. we pretty much wore out jasper and tobi, jasper went down for his nap a good hour before he normally does, fine by us. he is going through something right now, not sure what it is but something has turned my usually mellow 2 1/2 year old boy into a pms teenage girl. wow, talk about drama and so sensitive to everything.

well, had a good day, my hubby is starting a movie. tootles.

soo, been a while...

hello, old friend. not really an old friend, i really don't visit much. i should though, maybe that will be a mid-year resolution, post to my blog more. well, made it through the first 7 months of our third baby. that was easy. sort of. it was fast, i can say that. tobi, our third, was born in october. it's a girl, i get that question a lot, standard response, yes, she's a girl with a boy name. we actually thought she'd be a boy, for whatever reason, and only had boy names that we liked, tobias being top on the list. so when out pops a little girl, my first thought was, well, we'll just name her tobi. and we did. so now we have tobi, our third. little sister to fiona and jasper. forever a third child and boy do my kids fall into their correct birth order classification.

well, i'd love to stay and chat but i have some other business to attend to. Not really, just don't feel like writing much now, awfully tired. but i'll be in touch now that i've retrieved my password (again!) and saved it in a special place so i can remember to get on.
